Surprisingly enough, couple of Dutch guys were behind the revolution that Nan Khatai is. Before leaving india, they left behind a bakery that was bought by an Indian gentleman Faramji Pestonji Dotivala who started selling the old, dried bread at very low prices. The bread became very popular and he started drying the bread before selling it. Later the dried bread came to be known as Irani Biscuit or nan Khatai that we all love very much.
